Garden wildlife

Another source of inspiration is her small garden at home. Designing and creating her evolving ‘cottage style garden’ has enabled her to get up close to photograph and capture the natural designs of the flora and fauna she has grown and nurtured over years. Fruit trees, herbs and rose bushes are amongst cottage garden flowers and wild flowers and grasses to create a haven for birds and insects.

In the spring and summer, many garden birds nest in the surrounding mature trees and shrubbery. Robins, blackbirds and cole tits all brought up their young in the garden. From her Victorian Swanage beach hut (installed in the garden as a Summer house) she can feed the birds and watch the activity – a little haven!
